Scope
Ten Tech Solutions is operated by Ten Tech Solutions Pvt Ltd, Mahalaxmi Municipality, Lamatar, Lalitpur, Nepal.
In these policies, "Ten Tech", "we", "us" and "our" mean Ten Tech Solutions Pvt Ltd.
This policy applies to all services we sell: domain names, hosting, business email, website development and digital marketing. It applies to every way our customers pay us.
Our commitments
- We comply with the anti-money-laundering, counter-terrorist-financing and sanctions laws that apply to us in Nepal.
- We do not accept customers or payments that we know or suspect come from crime.
- We cooperate fully with lawful requests from regulators and law-enforcement authorities.
Knowing our customers
- Every account: each account must be opened in the customer's real name, with a working email address and phone number. Every order requires a real billing address.
- When we ask for more: we may ask for proof of identity, proof of address, or company registration documents. We do this when:
- an order or a series of orders is unusually large
- a customer pays for or uses services on behalf of someone else
- information does not match
- other risk factors appear
- Business customers: for company customers, we may ask who owns or controls the company.
- If you do not provide them: we may refuse or pause service until the requested documents are provided.
Sanctions
We do not provide services to people or organisations named on the sanctions lists that bind us. These include:
- United Nations Security Council lists
- the US OFAC lists
Where the law requires, we also block services to sanctioned countries and regions. We may check customers against these lists and refuse orders that may break sanctions.
Payments
- Online payments: these are accepted only through regulated channels. At present this is Khalti for NPR payments, plus bank transfer for invoiced services.
- Who pays: payment must come from the customer, or from a business the customer represents. We do not accept anonymous payments, cash payments above small amounts, or payments split to avoid limits.
- Refunds: these go only to the original payment method and account, never to a third party.
Warning signs we watch for
- Large or frequent orders that make no business sense, or that are paid and then quickly cancelled to get a refund.
- Payments from accounts that do not belong to the customer.
- Reluctance to give identity information, or information that is false or inconsistent.
- Use of our services for fraud, for example phishing websites, fake shops or investment scams.
Reporting
Staff report suspicions to our compliance contact. We report suspicious transactions to the relevant authority where the law requires it, for example the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU-Nepal). We do not tell the customer when a report has been made ("tipping off" is illegal).
Record keeping
We keep identification documents, order records, payment records and any reports for at least five years after the end of the business relationship, or longer where the law requires.
Staff and review
Staff who handle customers and payments are trained to recognise warning signs. Management reviews this policy at least once a year, and whenever laws or our services change.
Our rights
To meet our legal duties, we may take these steps without notice, and without liability where the law allows:
- delay or refuse an order
- suspend services
- freeze a refund
- end a customer relationship
